Digital DIY workshops
IDEActivity Center of the Design dept. at Politecnico di Milano opens the call for participation at ‘Digital DIY inspiring future’, two full-day workshop series – for ideas exploration and generation respectively – as part of the DiDIY project activities.
Following a structured path, in the first workshop you will have the opportunity to know and apply the innovative aspects of digital technologies of production and sharing (e.g. additive manufacturing and open platforms), in order to develop innovative ideas and projects in a collaborative way.
During the explorative workshop you will have the chance to collaborate with other experts in your field and propose a topic for the generation of a design challenge shared with the other participants, to be addressed and solves at the subsequent generative workshop.
You will share experiences and information, build knowledge, use a co-design process for idea generation together with your team.
The overall objective is producing guidelines for the European Community intended to provide solutions for stimulating and engaging people in the application of digital DIY in their own professional field, in order to generate innovation and new competences.
IDEActivity Center will facilitate the workshops drawing on approaches and tools of the co-design and design thinking field, which could be used by the participants autonomously once experienced.

An explorative and a generative workshop for each area addressed in the DiDIY are planned: education and research, work and organization, creative society, and legal rights and ownership.

Workshops will last for about 6 hours, starting from 10 am, lunch will be provided.
The first explorative workshop will be hosted by PoliFactory, at Bovisa Campus of Politecnico di Milano, in Milan.

The dates of the subsequent generative workshops will be announced shortly.
The workshop will conclude with a public event, in which every team will have the chance to share their experience and present their results.

IDEActivity Center del Dipartimento di Design del Politecnico di Milano, ti invita a partecipare a 'Digital DIY inspiring future', due giornate di workshop - una di esplorazione e una di generazione di idee - contestualmente alle attività del progetto DiDIY.
Attraverso un percorso strutturato, nel primo workshop esplorativo avrai l’opportunità di conoscere e adottare gli aspetti innovativi delle tecnologie digitali di produzione e condivisione (ad es. additive manufacturing, open platform,....) al fine di sviluppare idee e progetti innovativi in modo collaborativo.
Durante il workshop esplorativo potrai infatti collaborare con altri esperti del tuo settore e proporre un tema per la generazione di una sfida progettuale condivisa che verrà affrontata e risolta successivamente, nel workshop generativo.
Insieme al team condividerai esperienze e informazioni, costruirai conoscenza, utilizzerai un processo di co-design per generare idee.
L'obiettivo della serie di workshop è quello di produrre linee guida per la Comunità Europea volte a fornire soluzioni per stimolare e coinvolgere le persone ad applicare le potenzialità del Digital DIY nel settore professionale di provenienza al fine di generare innovazione e nuove competenze.
IDEActivity Center faciliterà i workshop con approccio e strumenti propri del co-design e design thinking che, una volta esperiti, potranno essere usati in autonomia dai partecipanti.
