Roberto Rossi

Roberto Rossi graduated in Communication Sciences at the Università Cattolica in Milan, Italy. Subsequently he obtained a Master Degree in International Affairs at ISPI-Università Bocconi. In 2001 he started working at OCCAM, the organization affiliated to the United Nations focused on the wise use of technologies for development.

Within OCCAM Roberto was responsible for the implementation of a number of projects, namely the ICT Villages in Honduras (2001), Southern Lebanon (2002), Tunisia (2005), Madagascar (2005) and Peru (2010). His last project for OCCAM was in Lesotho (2009-13), where he was project manager of 2 experimental projects, one dealing with the use of distance plant-pathology to promote food security, the other focused on maternal health through ultrasound technology.

Roberto was also leader of delegations to developing countries (Tunisia, Madagascar, Lesotho, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Mozambique), and main coordinator of the organization of the Infopoverty World Conference, annually held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York and the Euromediterranean Conference held during the Venice Film Festival.

Within the project Roberto worked in the Ab.Acus team for WP4 until December 2015.
